Driving is a privilege - not a right

As a newcomer, when you land in Toronto, you will quickly find that if you don’t have a car, how inconvenient life is. Some employers will ask you if you drive a car. That is to say if you want to be hired, you should have a driving licence and a car. So driving is a privilege. You must go through what it takes to get  this permit.

I have already passed the G2 road test with 4 points deducted. That is a pretty good performance, I think. I would like to share some my own experience with you. First of all, you may have to put in some time to read through the Driver’s Handbook at least twice. Secondly, you should hire a professional instructor. Finally, you should avoid choosing a busy road and  rush hour to be tested. If you want to know more details or other techniques, please don’t hesitate to ask me. As long as you talk to me in English, I would be happy to answer yopur questions. I hope to find opportunities to practice speaking in English. So, please don’t worry about asking!

The end

The heavens keep telling
the wonders of God,
and the skies declare
what he has done.
Each day informs
the following day;
each night announces
to the next.

They don't speak a word,
and there is never
the sound of a voice.
Yet their message reaches
all the earth,
and it travels
around the world.
(David ben Jesse; Ps 19:1-4 CEV)
